Chess Board

My students at MHS are entirely obsessed with playing chess. We have three soft chess mats that can be moved around the room, the mats are old and ratted and a little bit tired looking.

In addition, as part of my library redesign, I’d like to dedicate an area of the library to gaming. This will help keep the room noise down since it will be far from the reading/teaching area and it will help promote other games.

Luckily, I have an end table that a neighbor was getting rid of:

Is it the best chess table in existence? No. But I did it all with things I literally had around my house and hopefully it will get a lot of use.
