Sharon Fox

School Library Media Specialist, MSLIS, Educator, Writer, Speaker

Sharon Fox is a K-6 SLMS in the Port Jervis City School District. She earned her MSLIS from Syracuse University (2010) and has worked as a School Library Media Specialist in Newburgh, Middletown, and Tuxedo. Prior to her library life, Sharon worked for the Mayo Center for the Performing Arts in Morristown, NJ, serving as Marketing Assistant/Education Coordinator. Prior to her theater life, Sharon attended Binghamton University (2005) where she majored in Creative Writing for some reason. Sharon is a member of the The American Library Association, The American Association of School Librarians, The New York Library Association, The New York Library Association Section of School Librarians, School Library Media Specialists of Southeastern New York, and the Minisink Valley Public Library Initiative. Her lesson plan templates have been featured in Joyce Valenza’s Neverending Search blog and Hilda Weisburg’s Classroom Management for School Librarians.
